ALBUM IMAGES

Candy-O       The    Cars- Candy-O

The Parkerilla

Baby shambles

27779.jpg

the images above are some that i have collected as inspiration for our digi pack, there are in similar layout to the image of Ezgi that we took during the filming process.

i like the idea of some of the images in the digi pack being in black and white, and enhancing feature of the photo like the shadows ect...

In contrast...

images like this from 'papercuts'- show how the idea of laying down can be more peaceful. i really like the location of nature and think that when contrasting our dark side that we have with our female actress that a more atuminal setting would looking very effective.

alternativley...

image presented by paramore also show how even rock genres can be set in the woodland. i really like this idea. and due to us being located by the new forest it means we have a perfect location accessible to us.

similarly RADIOHEAD also loacates its videos in woodland areas, shown in this image. it could mean a more emotive narrative from our male actor who is doing the lip syncing.

digi pack edited image IDEAS

the image above was edited on photo shop, we used the burn tool in order to make it my rustic on the edges, as well as this we used the smudge tool to enhance ezgis body and blur the background, this image would be something we would use on the 6 panal digi pack.  make on the back where we would wrtie the songs.

FONTS FOR DIGI PACK

Birth Of A Hero28 Days Later
these are the fonts that i have found, i think the rustic look would go well with the type of music that we are advertisng on the digi pack.

27x40 Movie Posters<---- this font is my inspiration, taking from the ban of brothers poster.

FRONT COVER IDEAS

Smoking Women05_picsASIANINTUB.jpg Asian taking a bath Stock Photo - portrait of woman

photos, pictures,
wall murals, images,
and photo clipart^^^^ these images are ones i have found on the interent, i have been inspired by the images that we took during filming the 'bath scenes' and have found thses images that add to my ideas.

this is an image we took during filming that we think would work really well as a cover for our digi pack. edited in black or white it would have an interesting effect.

heavily influneced by the album cover by baby shambles. they use a retro image with the black and white edit. the women laying dead on the bed is how we tried to portray Ezgi laying on the flow in a staggered way.

this image is also one that we created in order to give the feeling death, her white dress really stands out against the dark dirty background.

Ann Kirsten Kennis on the cover of Vampire Weekend's album Contra Me and Emma both agered that this image really has a strong effect through its connotations. the edit has made it have an element of innocence to it. the bold font in white really shows a contrast which we think would go really well with the image we have taken. (birth of a hero font in white)

DIGIPACK

This is a 6 panel digi pack, for our artist we need to come up with a name for our artist aswell as the albumn. we have decided to show the singer as a solo artist and the name of the albumn name will reflect the genre and the song that we have chosen to interpret Markus Pearce Albumn name Scarpered Souls - song title = Leaving Mary

MAGAZINE POSTER RESEARCH

FROM LOOKING AT THESE IMAGES SEARCHED USING GOOGLE, IT GAVE ME IDEAS OF WHAT MUSIC ADVERTS LOOKED LIKE AND THE INFORMATION THAT NEEDED TO BE ON THEM
THE 'AU REVOIR SIMONE' ADVERT SHOWS STAR RATING AND ALSO GIVES AN INDICATION OF WHERE A CUSTOMER AND BUY THE ADVERT

THE 'KASABIAN' POTER IS VERY SIMILAR, HOWEVER IT GIVES A DATE OF RELEASE
THIS 'WRETCH 32' ADVERT IS MORE URBAN THEN THE OTHER GENRES, IT SHOWS AN IMAGE OF WHAT THE ALBUM ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE AND HAS MORE ICONS IN THE FAR RIGHT CORNER, OF OTHER WAYS TO ACCESS THE ALBUM.

ROUGH TRADE

History

Geoff Travis was traveling in North America and amassed a huge record collection.[1][dead link] He shipped these records back to the UK which became the basis of the Rough Trade Shop. The label grew out of the Rough Trade Shop, founded by Travis in west London in 1976. The label was set up in 1978 and also went into the distribution business, distributing amongst others "Joey Parratt's" first band The Flying Brix. The label became independent from the shop in 1982, then went bankrupt in 1991, ruining many small record labels to which money was owed. Rough Trade was relaunched in 2000.
Rough Trade specialised primarily in European post-punk and other alternative rock of the late 1970s and early 1980s. In the late 1980s Rough Trade branched out by issuing an eponymous album by Lucinda Williams. Other early signings included Agitpop, The Raincoats, Young Marble Giants, The Smiths, The Slits, and Scritti Politti.

examples of rough trade music

i have used this video and song as an example of why rough trade records would be something that could possibly be the label of our song! it is very indie based how ever shows elements of soft rock in other artist! it is also a record label that is consistent with narrative based videos as well as showing the majority of songs to be about sad moments in life.

SATURDAY 1st OCTOBER FILMING EVIDENCE

our filming on saturday went really well! how ever there were a few difficulties we had to over come, for example the running of the water fro the bath scene took longer then expected due to it being an older property!

the image of our female character was perfect we used a thin cotton dress to symbolise the peacefullness of the character constructed in the music, we used a bright lipstick as it created a more pale face connoting death
